Stocking Stuffers On A Budget

Broke and at the end of your Christmas rope? Worry no mo'! I am bringing some of my favorite dupes for highend products!!!!! These are cheap and chic and make the perfect stocking stuffer for your favorite beauty!

I love me some highlighters and these 2 highend powders are amazeballs, however, do you wanna go there and spend over 30 bones when you can spend under 10???? I bring you the dupe...........

Boom! Hard Candy Baked Bronzer in Tiki. I love Hard Candy. Love. Love. Extra love! It's great packaging, freakishly amazing quality and its at Walmart!!!! What the what? Seriously any Hard Candy product is so perfect for a stocking, but if you want a dead on dupe for a highend item, this is for you!

Dior's Amber Diamond is probably one of the most talked about bronzer for the last couple of years. It is truly beautiful. It adds color and highlight in one compact and its Dior for heaven's sake! The thing is that I have a product that is better quality and delivers the same result. What is it.......
Physicians Formula Vegas Strip. Love this. I know I have spoken about this a lot, especially last summer. This is such a genius product as you can use it as your shadow, highlighter and bronzer all in one compact. There are several variations of these color strips, but this is the best dupe for Amber Diamond.

Finishing up our bronzer and highlighter category.....

Nars Casino is a great basic bronzer. It isn't too matte but it isn't in-yo-face glitter, know what I'm sayin? Is it worth paying $32 ish for it? Hell no!

Wet n Wilds Ticket to Brazil has made it to many of my blog posts for a reason. It really is gorgeous. Just looking at them in the pan, Casino looks super warm, but when you swatch them they are identical in texture and pigment.

MAC's discontinued Creme Cup lipstick is a Holy Grail item for soooooo many people, but since it is no more, what better way to find a dupe than in a drugstore lip color? Rimmel's Airy Fairy is a dead on dupe for this baby. I think the formula is a little nicer too, but I could be just in cheap and chic rapture.......

Another MAC product that is one of my faves is their Lipglass. I love the scent and if you find one with shimmer or pearl tones, it really is a subtle way to jazz up a meh look. Underage is a very popular light creamy nude. It is a tad too light for me unless I use it as a top coat to a lipstick or over a deeper nude pencil. A great dupe for it is from Revlon....
Peach Petal from Revlon looks a lot warmer in the tube than when you swatch it, but it is a perfect dupe for Underage. I love the Revlon glosses as a whole. The formula is richly pigmented and not too sticky. Really, any of these glosses are perfect stocking stuffers but if you are looking for a great MAC dupe, Peach Petal is it!

Rounding out our lip category is a fave of mine. I love coral lipglosses and have since my nannying day's in the Hamptons. Every chic matron wore coral and I wanted to be one of those sun bleached, Lilly frocked, coral beauties. One fave of mine, also a MAC item, was the Viva Glam in Cyndi. Is there a dupe?

Another hit from Revlon is their Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze in Continuous Coral. Great formula, great color pay off and great texture. This is a beautiful corally red and is gorgeous on practically every skin tone but especially those with a tan!

I guess I should have titled this blog "MAC Dupes" because here we go again.... From top to bottom we have Shroom, Cork and Naked Lunch. All three are great basics for an collection. Shroom is a neutral pearly shadow that is slightly golden. Cork is a satiny neutral brown and great as a crease color or a brow powder for dark blondes. Naked Lunch is a beautiful rose gold frost, a very popular shade for any season but rose golds have been making the rounds on the makeup circuit as of late. I hate these photos because the really don't look as great, but we have a dupe for each one. Even better? They're in the same compact. Even better better? They be from Wet n Wild ggurrrrrl!
Please go get this trio! Seriously, if not for a stocking stuffer for someone else, get it for you! I cannot speak enough of the quality of the WnW collection. The pigment and texture is remarkable considering the cost. The packaging is nothing to write home about, but who cares?

Cranberry from MAC (surprise) is a gorgeous shade that would compliment the set of neutrals above. If you guessed that I had a dupe, you get a pat on the back!
Rust from NYX is a perfect dupe and while its not at every drugstore, the cost is drugstore cost so I think it makes sense to add this to this particular post. I love this by itself and as a crease color.

As an honorable mention, I think adding EOS lip balms to anyones stocking would be a hit. They also look cute. Every time I pull one out of my bag people always take note of it. It's also fairly unisex looking so a guy shouldn't be too embarassed.

Hope this helps!!! Stay tuned for a couple of hawt holiday makeup looks!!
