I See London I See France, I See Your Dark Circles! Part 1: The Eye Creams

This is a post I should've written so long ago, but I'm so vain and like to show off my new makeup goods, I didn't. Sawwy!
Let's talk about your eye area. This is a such a serious topic that I actually am splitting it into 2 posts: one for eye creams for dark circles and one for concealer. This is about eye cream.
When I was 22 I was frightened into using a good eye cream, because it would prevent a lot of these problems my friends are now asking how to fix. You're never too old or too young for eye cream, so if you haven't got one, start. Now.....RUN!!!!!!!
There are a lot of great eye creams that focus on repairing dark circles. There are a lot that multi-task and fix dark circles, puffiness, incontinence, you name it. That said, these are what I recommend........
Kiehls is a great skin care line and has a huge cult following. It's one of the more inexpensive of the high end skin care brands too!!!
This is what Kiehls says about this eye cream.
Infused with the same natural ingredients as the brand's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, the night treatment leaves your under-eye skin feeling strengthened and replenished. Its nonmigrating cream texture is specifically formulated for the delicate eye area. With repeated use, fine lines are diminished and puffiness and dark circles are reduced. Squalane helps restore skin's natural moisture balanced; lavender essential oil soothes and stimulates skin's repair process; and evening primrose oil repairs the skin barrier while boosting radiance.

Shiseido has always been one of my fave skin care lines for many reasons, but the main one? IT DELIVERS!!! I love the entire skin care line and have used practically every product they have available"
This is what Shiseido says about it's product:
Infusing freshness and radiance into the eye area, this intensive eye cream effectively targets two major causes of dark circles: pigmentation and poor microcirculation. Blue and brown dark circles are visibly reduced over time for a youthful look. The smooth, gentle texture is perfect for the delicate eye contour.
Shiseido-exclusive Dark Circle Diminisher defies dark circles three ways by helping to target their root cause, preventing their formation, and addressing microcirculation in the eye area to infuse freshness and radiance into skin
Humectant-rich Super Hydro-Synergy Complex N helps instantly hydrates skin and maintains moisture for hours

Estée Lauder is my second fave skin care line. Literally the whole skin care line is life changing. This is an eye cream I personally have used and love how unique it is. The texture alone is so different from any other I've used. Anyway this is what Lauder says about this amazing multitasking eye cream:
Reignite the youthful light of your eyes with Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Recovery Complex II by Estée Lauder, a breakthrough treatment that maximizes the power of night to reduce signs of aging, including those caused by fatigue, pollution and age. It's formulated with the brand's exclusive ChronoluxCB Technology, which helps inhibit the appearance of visible damage such as fine lines, crow's-feet, dark circles, puffiness, dryness and uneven texture with a rich, silky, gel texture.

Ahhhh Eye Doctor!!! Really the best name for this baby. It delivers hydration without feeling greasy and covers so many concerns that it's worth the price. I use this a lot in the winter when my under eye area is super dry. This is what Origins says about it's Eye Doctor:
When fragile skin around eyes shows crinkly dry lines and other unsightly flaws, a twice-daily dose of botanicals is just what the "Doctor" ordered to help them disappear. Formulated with cooling Cucumber, soothing Rosemary and energizing Ginseng, helps counter crow's feet, de-pouf puffs and fade dark shadows. Plus Green Tea Extract helps fight off free radical damage. Shows perfect bedside manners, night or day, under makeup or alone. Ophthalmologist tested.

Now people ALWAYS ask for something from the drugstore that works and I always say the same thing: if I know of something amazing and that works well, I'll blog about it.
Burt's Bee's is a great line. I've used a lot of their products but mainly their make up removing wipes and a their famous lip balm. I did however receive a sample of this eye cream once and I really liked the texture. I'm not sure that it works as well as some of the other products I mentioned previously, but for you drugstore gals give it a try. Here's what they say about their product:
Infused with Daisy extract, Burt's Bees' clinically proven Brightening Eye Treatment led to visible results in 94% of women who used it.* Make it part of your daily regimen for a brighter and more even complexion, naturally.

*After 8 weeks of use. Product's color is derived from natural ingredients and may vary.

• Visibly diminishes the appearance of dark spots
• Reduces the appearance of puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles
• Opthalmologist Tested
• Dermatologist Tested

I have used all of these eye creams at one point and as most of you know by now, I'm so passionate about using eye cream. Like I've said, i've gotten the most benefits from using Estée Lauder and Shiseido, but I think just using one of these eye creams will truly make a difference, especially if you've never used one before.
If you have any eye creams that you like the best or know of a great home remedy, please comment or email me at mo9191976@aol.com
Stay tuned for part 2: the concealers!!
