I keep getting great feedback and suggestions for products and looks to try. My Cheap and Chic series has got to be one of my favorite things to do. I love finding inexpensive brands that perform as good or better than the high end ones. They are out there and I bring them to you!!!
Today I'm bringing a classic, cool toned eye that will really brighten up your pretty eyes!
Start off with clean, moisturized skin. Remember, the healthier your skin is, the less covering you'll have to do!
Prime the eyelid with ELF eye primer. This will help keep your shadow lasting and looking fierce all day.
Using a fluffy shadow blending brush, apply Wet n Wild Brulee from the inner corner of the eye, sweeping up to the browbone and across to the outer corner. Make sure that you don't apply the Brulee on the lid, we're saving that for the next shadow, which is........
Wet n Wild's creamy shadow pencil in Distress, a deep, pearly navy blue is so user friendly. Apply a small amount to the water line on lower lid and lightly to the lashline.Apply a thick cat eye, you don't need to be precise. Start at outer corner, working in to center iris, from thick line to thin.
Using a clean crease brush, blend out the cat eye so there are no sharp edges to it.
Using the same crease brush, apply Wet n Wilds Nutty on lid, up to the crease. Take care to not apply over the cat eye we just did. Blend shadow with a clean blending brush. There should be a nice gradient effect between Distress and the rest of the shadow.
Apply Maybellines Age Rewind Concealer under eyes and pat gently with your finger. With this particular concealer, the warmth of your fingertips is enough to blend smoothly and evenly. I also apply a little bit around my nose and in a reverse "C" shape under the cheekbone. This will neutralize discoloration but will also sculpt the cheeks.
With my Revlon Photo Ready foundation in Golden Beige, I usually take a small amount and dot it wherever need coverage or evening out. For this step I do use a foundation brush to make the application seamless. Before I set with powder, I like to do a touch of contour. It is an extra step that really polishes up your look and compliments bone structure.
Apply the bronze portion of the ELF Blush and Bronzer duo to the hollows of the cheeks with a contour brush. It kinda looks like a wavy line from ear to inner cheek at first, but don't be scared, you WILL blend it. Please blend it! For blending purposes, a stiff powder brush or kabuki brush is recommended. After you have blended (power of suggestion) the bronzer, apply Revlon Photo Ready powder lightly over the face to set makeup.
Line lips with Wet n Wild's Brandywine pencil, using soft strokes and working inward. If you want a deeper color, fill in the entire lip with the lip pencil.
With a lip brush apply ELF lipstick in Classy. Classy is a great dupe for MAC's Angel and isa very versatile color to have in your collection.
For blush we're just going to use the peachy pink blush from our ELF blush/bronzer duo. Apply to cheek bones and blend outward.
Since we aren't applying an eyeliner, for those of you that want the navy more intensified, you can go over the cream shadow pencil with a navy shadow. Wet n Wild's Blue Had Me At Hello has a couple intense shades that would work perfectly.
All you have left to do is mascara and once again we will use Jordana Best Lash Extreme in black! Apply a couple coats to top and bottom lashes and voila.....
Hope you enjoyed! Have a great Thanksgiving and stay tuned for Fall Favorites!!!!!
