REVIEW TIME: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

This month I received a real treat in my Birchbox: Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Wow! I have been in the beauty and skincare industry since the late 90's and have never, repeat, NEVER come across a product so simple, yet so genius!!!!
I have never really had one cleanser that I put above the rest, Holy Grail status, if you will. I'm not a fickle cleanser girl, but I have a handful of favorites, tried and true, that I cycle in and out of. The Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, the buck stops here! Call off the dogs, the hunt is over!!!!
This cleansing system is so simple in concept, but it's the quality of the cleanser and muslin cloth that make it stand head and shoulders over my other faves.
Apply the creamy (not greasy!) cleanser to dry skin. Safe for the delicate eye area, apply to the whole face and neck. After you have applied the cleanser, wet the muslin cloth with hot water and wring out. In a circular motion, use the cloth to remove the cleanser and finish with a cool water rinse. It really is that simple, which is good, because with the stress of being a single mom of a two year old, I need as much simplicity as I can get!!!
The cleanser is plant based: Eucalyptus and rosemary cool and energize my skin and senses instantly, while the hops tone the skin wand the chamomile soothes. It also combines the hydrating benefits of both panthenol and cocoa butter. Just a heads up: it is NOT a vegan product, as it has beeswax as an ingredient, so if that is a concern of yours, this wouldn't be for you.
What I love is that it is glycerin based as opposed to mineral oil based. Everyone in the industry has their own theories and thoughts about mineral oil, but to me, mineral oil will always be the crappiest and counterproductive ingredient (aka filler) in the whole of skincare. Mineral oil + skin= zero benefit,
It takes a lot to impress me, being that I am the biggest skincare pusher ever. I used this generous trial size last weekend and am addicted! Liz Earle, if you are listening, this is a gateway drug! I must try the whole skincare line! I am particularly interested in the Super Skin skincare line, specifically the serum, moisturizer and eye cream.
Stay tuned for more reviews!
