Cheap of the Week: Luminous and Bronze

Ok, this isn't the pic that I'm basing this weeks "Cheap of the Week" look on, but this lovely lady, Dorothy Lamour, is the inspiration. This was just a cheap nod to Halloween...so Happy Halloween!!!

There we go! That is the lady I love to try and look like when I go to the bronze. She is so iconically beautiful and was the "Exotic Beauty" back in the day. Knowing my challenges of finding bronzers and highlighters, I was stoked to find 3 products that I love, love, love. The best part? Each product is under $20. So you can get all or just a couple and still have money for something else. My something else today? Girl, you know it's "fun size" candy. Don't even get me started on "fun" as a size. If they were truly "fun sized", it would be one giant peanut M&M that I'd have to chisel away with an ice pik.
And away we go................
I am not going to go there with Holy Grail claims yet, but this foundation is the most lovely, lovely, gorgeously luminous without being an oil slick or disco ball. The coverage is light to medium and is buildable without looking cakey or obvious. My shade is W5 Sand Beige. Love x infinity.

Wet n Wild, holy crow, this line has come along way since the days of belly button scented lipgloss. I am telling you this bronzer is amazing! The shade I got is Bikini Contest, but for the light or light-med peeps, I recommend the shade Reserve Your Cabana from WnW. That shade is an exact dupe for Lorac Spotlight. For me as a medium toned mama, Bikini Contest works like a charm.
So Baked from Hard Candy is billed as a bronzer, but I chose to use this as a highlight. This is the shit. Bottom line. There is nothing from any highend brand that has even come close to this. I am using the shade Tiki as a highlighter. This has made my skin look silky and glowing and I cannot imagine wanting anything else to give me this look. This is all in one package and I think were putting the on the HG list! Also, this is an exact dupe for the Mary Lou-manizer from The Balm. For realsies! Save your pennies babies!

In the photo you see the foundation, Tiki and Bikini Contest swatches in the left and on the visage on the right!

And with that, I am going to sit here and drink my latte and feel smug........
